Samuel French was an American actor, writer, and producer from Waco, Texas. Born on January 26, 1980, he built a screen career rooted in Texas film and television before gaining wider recognition as Agent C.J. Robinson in Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon.
His work carried across film, television, thrillers, Westerns, and independent Texas productions. His credits include Texas Rising, Fear the Walking Dead, Joe Haladin: The Case of the Missing Sister, The Pro Bono Watchman, Blood Dried Hands, Monsters Within, and Towpath (2027).
Samuel built a body of work that was respected because it never felt casual. Whether he was carrying a lead role, stepping into a supporting part, or sharing the frame with some of cinema's most recognizable artists, he approached the craft with full force. He gave everything he had to the moment and pushed the actors across from him to reach places they may not have known they could go.
Collaborators remembered Samuel for his intensity, commitment, and emotional honesty on screen. He brought a grounded, lived-in presence to characters shaped by danger, loyalty, grief, and resolve. He never left anything in the tank, and his love for acting lived in every choice, every scene, and every performance.
On May 9, 2025, in Waco, Texas, Samuel transitioned to be with our Lord and Savior. This site is maintained as a tribute to his life, his work, and the mark he left on the people who knew him.
